Paintings for Carly K.

And so the Anderssons wanted some animal paintings to go along with Carly K's new bedding .. . and so I painted these 5 guys.. .

Paintings in Carly's Bedroom

So -Josh and Jen hung the painting in Carly's room like this.....

Joanna's Fairy Mural

This was one of my first murals that I painted a few years ago. I painted it for my niece, Joanna, while the whole family was on vacation for a week... Jo wanted fairies and butterflies - and so we looked at the ol' Flower Fairies by Cicely Mary Barker, and I painted a few of those in her room. The main painting was over Joanna's crib (she's now a big girl, with a big girl bed) and then the three remaining fairies were painted on the side wall, in sort of a Triptych painting.. Anyway.. it was fun to do, they were happy with all of the paintings, and it was a great experience for me to try out the idea of painting a mural.

Carly's Table and Chairs

So... my brother, Josh, and his wife, Jen, asked me to paint this paisley pattern that they had found and loved on a table and chair for their daughter, Carly. A pretty fun job, and cool pattern to paint. Kind of nice to have family to "hire" me for these paintings, as the paintings and furniture add to my portfolio and they get to keep the work!

Isaac's Elephant Chair

I was asked to paint this little chair by a friend named Rob...and he was going to give it to his nephew, Isaac, for Christmas. Well... Isaac loved the chair, so did his family, etc.. and I ended up marrying Rob. (long story short).

Painted Table and Chair

Here are some photos from a table and chair that I painted 2 Aprils ago. I painted it for my school's annual fundraiser, along with an additional donation that a person bought for me to paint a mural at their house. I did that mural later on last summer, but it's not my favorite mural... Oh well.. they can't all be my favorite...
Anyway. Something to start the "updated" blog with. Painted table and chairs...
