My dear friend, Katie, asked me to paint some birdies for her daughter, Gwynne's bedroom. Katie had seen the birds from a previous blog post, and so we talked about how to do them so they would work in Gwynne's room. Eventually Katie decided to have 3 paintings, with the birds on a somewhat connecting branch (shown connected in this post). These two individual little friends are sized at 8 x 10, and painted on watercolor paper with watercolor paint. I'm pretty happy with the paintings, and it was such a joy to work on a project for a dear old friend. ..
